The ongoing spat between the Government of India and social media platform Twitter is growing by the day. On Thursday, Union Information and Technology Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad warned social media platforms in Parliament against the spread of fake news. Speaking in the Rajya Sabha, Prasad said the government will take action against such platforms if they are used to disseminate fake news.
