1 min read

Tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan have escalated significantly following recent military actions by the Pakistani army in Afghan territory. Early in the morning, airstrikes were carried out by Pakistani forces targeting the Kunar and Paktika provinces located in eastern Afghanistan. According to local reports, these bombings resulted in the tragic deaths of several innocent civilians, sparking widespread outrage and condemnation. In response to the strikes, regional observers note that the security situation along the Durand Line has deteriorated sharply. This latest cross-border attack highlights the worsening diplomatic and security relations between Islamabad and the Taliban administration in Kabul, raising fears of further violent retaliation and prolonged instability in the border regions.

Pakistan's army has once again bombed Kunar and Paktika provinces of Afghanistan early in the morning. According to the Afghan government, a residential house was targeted in Pathan village of Noorgal district of Kunar at around 3 am in the morning. Three members of the same family including Noor Ahmed were killed in this attack, while four people were injured. It is reported that two children and two women are also included among the dead and injured. According to the Afghan government, bombing also took place at two places in Barmal district of Paktika. A shop and an empty house were damaged here, however, there is no report of any casualties.
