Illegal Structures Removed After Bulldozer Action Outside Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi
Authorities in the national capital carried out a major midnight anti-encroachment drive near a high-profile diplomatic mission. Late Wednesday night, civic bodies used heavy machinery to clear unauthorized constructions that had come up on public land adjacent to the diplomatic enclave. The operation was executed under tight security measures to prevent any potential law and order issues in the sensitive zone. Officials stated that these temporary and permanent encroachments were flagged during routine municipal inspections and were posing security concerns as well as obstructing pedestrian movement. Following due notice procedures, the demolition team moved in during the late hours to minimize traffic disruption. The cleared area is now under municipal surveillance to prevent any immediate re-occupation by local vendors or unauthorized occupants.
Illegal structures outside the Pakistan High Commission in Delhi were demolished using bulldozers late Wednesday night. According to officials, these structures had been erected beyond the High Commission's designated boundary. Structures such as barricades, fencing, and queue-management facilities near the visa section were also removed. This action came days after security barricades and parking poles outside the Indian High Commission in Islamabad were removed.
